About

Our Mission

Our mission is to partner with families to cultivate children of valor who stand firm in faith and character. Through intentional biblical integration and individual pacing, we honor each student’s unique design while nurturing a trauma-informed learning environment that prioritizes the social-emotional development necessary for academic success. We are dedicated to supporting parents as they lead their children toward spiritual maturity and academic excellence.

Our Vision

Our vision is to cultivate Children of Valor who lead with Christ-like courage and serve others with a humble heart.

VALOR PARENT TESTIMONIAL

“We are so thankful for Valor Christian Academy - finally, a school that understands the unique needs of each child and teaches to the student, rather than the test.”

“The intimate, small classroom setting and frequent physical activity has been a game changer for our son who is finally enjoying school in a way we never thought would be possible.

Mrs. Keller at Valor Christian Academy has made such a difference in our son’s life and his view on learning. She has created a comfortable and supportive environment, where our son feels at ease, encouraged and equipped to learn. He has shown more tenacity and independence across all academic areas, and he has grown in his ability to advocate for himself and build relationships with friends. We are grateful!”

Our Program

Valor Christian Academy is an in-person Christian Home Education Instructional Program (HEIP) designed to honor each child’s unique path toward academic excellence and spiritual maturity. We believe every student is fearfully and wonderfully made.

We operate 3 days per week, offering 12 hours of weekly in-person individualized academic core instruction. We utilize sequential instruction and a mastery-based approach across the core subject areas to ensure no gaps in learning. The program provides a high-stability, trauma-informed environment specifically tailored for students who thrive in a predictable and low-stress learning atmosphere where they can flourish.

Academic Structure

Biblical Integration

The bible serves as our foundational text for character development and social-emotional regulation. Scriptural principles are integrated into daily lessons to foster resilience, identity, and a sense of safety.

Individualized Pacing

We recognize that every child is made with unique strengths and we focus on meeting students at their specific point of need. Using a multi-sensory curriculum we provide sequentially progressive instruction to bridge academic gaps and restore confidence.

Trauma-Sensitive Approach

Instruction is delivered by teachers trained in trauma-informed care. We maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio (1:6) to foster a high-trust environment that prioritizes social-emotional regulation and academic confidence.

Collaborative Hybrid Model

To support parents as the legal directors of their child's education, we provide comprehensive at-home pacing guides for the two "home days," ensuring faith-filled transition between campus and home learning.

Our Team

Jennifer Keller

As the Founder and Head of Valor Christian Academy, Jennifer Keller integrates over 25 years of teaching experience across public, private, and charter schools with a heart deeply moved by the call to serve. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s in Curriculum Design and Assessment, her academic background is extensive, yet it was her journey through foster and adoptive care that revealed her true mission.

Through her own family, Jennifer witnessed the burdens carried by children who have faced hardship. She saw how challenges can hinder even the most brilliant and motivated students, creating barriers that traditional classrooms often fail to address. This sparked a conviction that every child is a unique and valued individual, deserving of an environment that acknowledges their inherent worth while tending to their specific needs.

This vision led to the creation of Valor Christian Academy—a sanctuary of learning rooted in peace and predictability. Jennifer has dedicated herself to bridge the gap between educational excellence and emotional restoration. Her mission is to provide a low-stress atmosphere where grace is the foundation and safety is the standard. At Valor, Jennifer ensures that a child’s past does not dictate their future, providing the stability and support they need to flourish as they were created to be.
